David Shamash

Dave Shamash has been a professional personal trainer since 2001. His B.S. in Physiology and Neuroscience combined with his wide-ranging exposure to competitive sports and exercise styles has helped form a unique approach to assisting each client achieve their individual goals. Dave continues to educate himself in sports medicine and physical therapy principles in order to ensure safe, yet challenging and effective workouts for any client, whether they are 18 or 81. His exercise philosophy focuses on building strength while improving flexibility, range of motion and balance in order to promote proper posture and healthy movement patterns. Dave utilizes this experience to develop creative, challenging and cutting-edge workout routines tailored to each individual client. His programs have helped people with a variety of physical limitations regain greater freedom of movement and strength in their daily lives. He has extensive experience with older populations, obesity, chronic illness, numerous orthopedic injuries, in addition to athletes in a variety of sports.

Kieran Meltvedt Shamash

Kieran Shamash is a Registered Yoga Teacher with a strong business development background. In addition to her yoga teaching and practice, she works closely with clients and personnel to ensure a positive environment reflecting Kailo’s values and beliefs. It is her strong belief that everyone can make positive changes in their lives and that each individual has unique needs that must be respected and addressed in any wellness program. She continues her journey toward a healthier life through yoga, meditation and a variety of outdoor activities including running and hiking in the beautiful Santa Monica area.

  • Completed 200-hour Teacher Training Intensive at Yoga Works with Lisa Walford and Annie Carpenter in Spring 2005
